GPS In-Car Navigation technology uses satellites to plot your position, and the quickest and easiest route to your requested destination, using pre-programmed maps of New Zealand.

When you are renting a vehicle with Rhodes, you can now add GPS Navigation to your rental, for a low daily fee. This cost will be added to your rental agreement, and you have the use of the TomTom GPS One XL unit for the duration of your rental.

Just plug in, program your street destination, and you are on your way with voice instructions and easy to view map directions that will take you where you want to go.

TomTom GPS Navigation and Rhodes Terms and Conditions:

  • There is a limited number of TomTom GPS units available, so for full information on availability call Rhodes Rental Group on 0800 746337
  • The unit cannot be used in any other vehicle other than the Rhodes Rental Group vehicle noted in the rental agreement on the GPS In-Car Navigation Agreement
  • Due care should be taken with the unit while rented. Do not leave the unit on the dashboard while the vehicle is unattended
  • Units must be returned to counter at the completion of the rental. Rhodes Rental Group do not acknowledge return of the unit until it returns to counter. Units left in vehicles on return will not be considered returned until collected by a Rhodes representative.
  • Unless specifically noted in the Rhodes Rental Group/ TomTom In-Car Navigation agreement, the normal Rhodes Rental Group rental terms and conditions apply, as noted on the rental agreement provided at the time of collection of the vehicle
  • Signing of the Rhodes Rental Group/ TomTom In-Car Navigation agreement indicates the renter's understanding that they are authorized to incur the additional daily charges for this unit, and accept responsibility for the care of the unit during the rental and the return of the unit upon completion of the rental
  • Vehicle Excess Reduction Insurance does not apply to TomTom GPS One XL navigation unit, in the case of loss or damage
  • Rhodes Rental Group are not responsible for any harm, damage, loss or misadventure that occurs as a result of the use or misuse of the GPS In-car navigation system. If any unit fails to perform its described functions, our maximum liability is the rental value paid for the unit.
